Food recommendation

A cheese platter with some soft cheese, a Chaumes, a Brie, a not too strict goat cheese, a Camembert and in addition this Saint Laurent, what more do you need? But it is also an excellent companion to dark meats, such as roast beef, as well as game terrines and pâtés. The Saint Laurent will refine any dark sauce for you and round off the festive roast.

The vine

The origin of this grape variety, unfortunately overlooked in Germany but increasingly cultivated in Austria, has never been clarified. The only thing that is certain is that there is no connection between this grape and the village with the same name in France (Bordeaux, Haut Medoc). Its first mention dates back to the 18th century, when it was introduced to Germany from the region around Mulhouse (Alsace).
