Winery

weinberge-05“Life is too short to drink bad wine.”

On the hilly foothills of the Palatinate Forest, our family winery grows its vines. In the southern part of the Palatinate, also called “German Tuscany”, in the small wine village of Mörzheim near Landau, our multifruity white wines and strong red wines find their home.

80 000 vines are distributed on 18 ha of vineyards. The Palatinate is known for a great variety of grape varieties. In our estate these are Riesling, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Blanc, Muscat, Scheurebe, Silvaner, Chardonnay, as well as Regent, Saint Laurent, Cabernet, Dornfelder and Pinot Noir.

The sustainable management of the vineyards has for us the consequence of organic farming. We have been affiliated with the Bioland Association for more than 30 years. According to their guidelines, we cherish and care for our vineyards. These strict criteria also apply in the wine cellar.

Organic farming is first and foremost good for winegrowers and their employees, as they do not come into contact with harmful chemical preparations in the first place. Nature is grateful because biodiversity of animals and plants are strongly promoted. The wine drinker supports this so pleasurably and gets in addition still another first-class, digestible drop in the glass. Ultimately, this is a win-win situation for everyone.
